Theproductionvalueisactuallyreallyhighwithwellshotscenes.Attimes,thecamerahasahardtimekeepingalltheboysinthesameframe,butthatdeterthedirectingstyle.Thescriptfaltersasitrepeatsscenesanddialogueabittoomuchthroughoutthefirstseason.Butitdoesn’thappeninthesecondseasonorthethirdminiseries.Theprequelfocusesonhornyboysbeingjustthat.Ridiculousandoversexedastheyimaginetheirperfectsexualsituationsandactlikewhattheyare,teenagers.Ienjoyedthefactthatnoneofthemwereactuallyperfect,evenTeethemostmatureofthebunchispronetoquietjealousyandseeminglyinternalizeshisfeelingstoomuch.ButwithFuse’son-againoff-againanticswithJeneorJeanitmakessense. Whilethissituationisrecurring,Frameislivingawildlifeasateenageractinglikeagrownup.Meetingmenforsex,drinking,andlivingalone,onthesurfaceitisfunandeasy,butastimepasseshegetslonely.MeetingBookbychanceforananonymoushookupkick-startstheirrelationship.ItisaperfectcontrasttoTeeandFusewhoserelationshipfeelsveryimmature.BookandFramedealwiththemorematureandweightyaspectsofbeinginagayrelationship,aswellastheirpastmistakescomingbacktohauntthem.FramehavingsexwithonehisteachersandthemanwhoruinedBook’slifemightbeoneofthem.Book’steenagedumbdecisionwhichforceshimoutoftheclosetleadingtoasuicideattemptneverfeltasthoughitcameoutofleftfield.Butanaturalprogressionfortheircharactersastheygothroughthosetwoyearstogetherisn’tdepicted. Bytheendofthesecondseason,theboysfindthemselvesinnewsituations.Theconceptofforeverinloveseemsalmostimpossibleformostofthemtotakeseriously;butsurprisinglyBookandFrameseemmorepreparedforit.WhileTeeandFusefacetherealityoftheirowntenuousromance,unfortunatelyduetobehindthescene’sdramaBookandFramedon’tappearinthefinalseries.Buttheyaresaidtobehappy. Overall,IgreatlyenjoyedthisseriesasitcaststheteenagelifeinThailandinamorerealisticmanner.Attimes,thevarioussidecharactersdogetsuperannoyingandsuckuptoomuchscreentime.ThemaincoupleTeeFusealsogettoaninsufferablelevelofunreasonablearguments,butBookFramesavetheseriesfrombeingunwatchablesincetheygetmorescreentimeinthesequel.
