Ovoviviparity[edit] Thereisanintermediateform,theovoviviparousanimals:theembryodevelopswithinandisnourishedbyaneggasintheoviparouscase,butthenithatchesinsidethemother'sbodyshortlybeforebirth,orjustaftertheeggleavesthemother'sbody.Somefish,reptilesandmanyinvertebratesusethistechnique.
