Aswementionedinthewebinar,COVID-19isnotimpactingallbusinessesorindustriesequally,andthereisnosingleone-size-fits-allsolution.Somebusinesses,likegrocerystores,arehiringorincreasinghourstomeetsurgedemands,whilemanyothers,likeairlinesandrestaurants,havehadtohaltservices,cutbackhours,orlayoffworkers.Fortunately,betweenfederalprograms,grassrootsandcharitableefforts,andeffortsemployerscantakeinternally,therearemanywaystoaddressshort-andlong-termchallengesbeingfeltmostacutelybylow-to-moderateincomeworkers. Together,thepanelistsidentifiedmanywaysemployerscansupporttheirfinanciallyvulnerableworkersbybothprovidingimmediatereliefandhelpingthemweatherthelongerstorm.
