LMC-LeastMaterialCondition LMCLeastMaterialConditionisdefinedastheconditioninwhichthereistheleastamountofmaterial,thelargestholeorsmallestpin,withinthestatedlimitsofsize. --EffectofLMCLeastMaterialCondition WhereapositionaltoleranceisappliedonanLMCbasis,theallowedtoleranceisdependentontheactualmatingsizeoftheconsideredfeature.ThetoleranceislimitedtothespecifiedvalueifthefeatureisproducedatitsLMClimitofsize.WheretheactualmatingsizeofthefeaturehasdepartedfromLMC,anincreaseinthetoleranceisallowedequaltotheamountofsuchdeparture.ThetotalpermissiblevariationinpositionismaximumwhenthefeatureisatMMC.Likewise,referencingadatumfeatureonanLMCbasismeansthedatumistheaxisorcenterplaneofthefeatureattheLMClimit.WheretheactualmatingsizeofthedatumfeaturehasdepartedfromLMC,adeviationisallowedbetweenitsaxisorcenterplaneandtheaxisorcenterplaneofthedatum. RFS-RegardlessofFeatureofSize(default) RFSRegardlessofFeatureSize isthedefaultconditionofallgeometrictolerancesbyrule#2ofGD&Tandrequiresnocallout. Regardlessoffeaturesize simplymeansthatwhateverGD&Tcalloutyoumake,iscontrolledindependentlyofthesizedimensionofthepart. --EffectofRFSRegardlessofFeatureofSize WhereageometrictoleranceisappliedonanRFSbasis,thespecifiedtoleranceisindependentoftheactualsizeoftheconsideredfeature.Thetoleranceislimitedtothespecifiedvalueregardlessoftheactualsizeofthefeature.Likewise,referencingadatumfeatureonanRFSbasismeansthatacenteringaboutitsaxisorcenterplaneisnecessary,regardlessoftheactualsizeofthefeature. WhyUseMaterialConditionsLikeMMC?
