Off:Lettheclothingonthebodytotallywet,takeitoffcarefullyandavoidbreakingaparttheblisters. Dip:Aftertakingofftheclothes,thendiptheinjuredskinunderthewatertoreliefthepain.Ifthewoundareaistoolargeortheageissmall,thendonotdipthewoundtopreventthecomplicationsuchasarrhythmiathatcausedbyextremelylowbodytemperature. Cover:Usecleancottoncloththatiswettedbyboiledcoldwatertocovertheinjuredskin.Keepthewoundcleananddonotapplyanythingoverthewoundtopreventwoundinfection. Delivery:Sendtothenearbyhospitalassoonaspossibleforfurthermanagement. Flameburns Ifthebodyisonfire,usethebothhandscoveringthefaceimmediatelythenlyingdownwithrollingthebodyorcoverbyalargepieceofblanket.Afterextinguishingthefire,thenfollowtheemergenttreatmentprocessesasscaldburnslistedasabove. Donotbusyrunningwhencatchingonfire,oritmayjustencouragingthefireduetoairsupplement. Contactburns Ingeneral,itbelongstolow-gradebuninjuries Gentlyrinsetheburninjurysitebywaterorputitinthecoldwaterfor15minutes,untilthepainsubsides.Ifitcannotberinsedordipped,thenuseicepacking. Beforewoundswelling,takeoffrings,belt,shoesortightclothingcarefully. Usedressingsandwrapthewoundifneeded. Donotuseadhesivedressings Donotapplylotion,ointmentoroiloverthewound Donotbreakaparttheblisters,peeltheinjuredskinorinterferewiththeskinwound Chemicalburns RegardlessofthechemicalcompositionpH,immediatelyaftertheinjurytotheinjurysiteflushedwithplentyofwater,avoidingthechemicalagentisnotspreadtotheinjuredsite,flushingatleast30minutes,inordertoreducethechemicalconcentrationofthesurfaceoftheskinduringrinsing.  Inparticular,ifspreadtotheeyeface,eyewashshouldbeopenedwithalotofwatertodilutetheconcentration. Electricalburns Electricalburnsareskininjuriescausedbyelectricalresistancesthatareproducedbyheelectricalflowpassingthroughthebodytissue.Theseverityisbasedonthetimeandcircuitwhichelectricalflowpassthroughthebody.Iftheheartandrespiratorycenteraredamaged,thencardiacarrestorrespiratoryarrestmayhappen.Andifthecranialnervesareinjuried,itmaycauseconsciousnessdisturbanceandevendeath. Beforetheresuscitation,besurethatthepoweristurnedoff.Ifrespiratoryandcardiacarrestsarefound,theartificialrespirationandcardiopulmonaryresuscitationshouldbedonesimultaneouslyandtransfertothehospitalimmediately.
