WefindsomeevidenceofpositiveimpactofRSBYonutilizationofhealthservicesbyRSBYbeneficiaryhouseholdsinruralIndiabutnotinurbanIndia.However,thereisnoevidencethattheRSBYreducedperpersonOOPexpenditureforRSBYhouseholdsinbothruralandurbanareas.Conditionalonhavingreceivedmedicaltreatmentformajormorbidity,wefindthatRSBYincreasedprobabilityofhospitalizationandbeingtreatedbyagovernmentdoctorinruralareasbutnosignificantimpactinurbanareas.WealsofindlowerexpenditureonmedicineforaRSBYcardholderpatientinruralareas.
